Entry Requirements
• Grade 11 (NQF Level 3) or equivalent
• Basic maths and science literacy recommended
• Good communication skills

• Perform site surveys and installations
• Run cable routes, crimp/connect, and label cables
• Assist in signal testing and troubleshooting
• Maintain telecoms equipment on towers or client premises
• Use tools like OTDRs, splicing machines, and cable testers

Assessment includes formative evaluations throughout training and an integrated summative assessment. Practical and theoretical skills are evaluated using approved ETQA tools and are subject to both internal and external moderation. The summative assessment combines practical tasks, workplace simulations, and documented portfolios of evidence.
